Executive Vice President & Head of Corporate Banking – Abu Dhabi (UAE National)

RAKBANK is seeking an accomplished Executive Vice President & Head of Corporate Banking – Abu Dhabi to lead our Corporate Banking franchise in the capital, driving strategic growth across large corporates, GREs, family conglomerates, and key government-linked entities. You will own the P&L, shape sector strategies, deepen strategic client relationships, and strengthen our market position while ensuring disciplined risk management and governance. This role reports to the Managing Director & Head of Wholesale Banking Group – Coverage and is based in Abu Dhabi.What You’ll Be Doing:Business & Revenue LeadershipOwn the full P&L for Corporate Banking – Abu Dhabi, driving asset, liability, fee income and cross‑sell performance.Lead growth across Large Corporates, GREs, Family Groups and select Multinationals.Develop and execute sector-focused strategies (Energy, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Government, Industrials, Services, Trade).Increase wallet share through transaction banking, trade finance, treasury, cash management, FX and capital markets solutions.Client Relationship ManagementServe as Senior Relationship Sponsor for top-tier strategic clients.Build and maintain strong relationships with C‑suite executives, owners, boards and government stakeholders.Lead complex credit structuring, negotiations, and syndication activities in partnership with Investment Banking and Risk teams.Ensure disciplined credit growth aligned with UAE Central Bank guidelines and internal risk appetite.Participate in and/or chair credit committees; approve exposures within delegated authority.Monitor portfolio quality, early warning indicators and remediation plans.Lead and develop Relationship Managers and Unit Heads; drive a high‑performance culture.Set clear KPIs across business development, client experience and risk management.Build strong succession pipelines and promote a collaborative team environment.Stakeholder & Governance ManagementWork closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Treasury, Trade and Investment Banking teams.Represent the bank with regulators, government bodies and industry forums in Abu Dhabi.Ensure adherence to governance standards, policies and regulatory requirements.Stay abreast of industry trends and drive innovative initiatives that enhance competitiveness.What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related discipline; MBA preferred.15+ years’ experience in banking/financial services with strong Corporate Banking leadership exposure.Proven success managing large corporate/GRE portfolios and driving strategic growth.Deep knowledge of lending, trade finance, cash management and treasury products.Strong understanding of UAE market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.Exclusive to UAE Nationals OnlyWhat You’ll Gain:Competitive compensation and performance‑driven incentivesMedical insurance and life coverageOpportunity to shape RAKBANK’s Corporate Banking strategy in Abu DhabiExposure to major government, GRE and corporate initiativesCareer advancement and professional development pathwaysCollaborative, growth‑focused working environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
