The role involves overseeing the pastry kitchen team, controlling food costs, and delivering exceptional products aligned with fine‑dining and Michelin‑level standards.Key ResponsibilitiesConceptualize, create, and develop innovative pastry and dessert menus, reflecting contemporary trends and refined customer preferences.Oversee daily production and presentation of pastries, desserts, breads, and specialty baked items to ensure exceptional quality and consistency.Lead, mentor, and manage the pastry kitchen team, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and continuous improvement.Maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and visual presentation through regular inspections and quality control checks.Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership to ensure balanced and cohesive menu offerings.Monitor inventory, ordering, storage, and ingredient usage to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times.Stay up to date with global pastry trends, modern techniques, and premium ingredients to maintain a competitive and innovative edge.Build and manage relationships with suppliers to source high‑quality ingredients and specialized equipment.Assist in budget planning, cost control, and profitability management for the pastry department.Ensure full compliance with local health, safety, and regulatory requirements.RequirementsCulinary degree or professional certification in Pastry Arts is preferred.Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Michelin‑starred restaurants or equivalent fine‑dining establishments (mandatory).Proven experience in a senior pastry leadership role within a high‑volume or luxury culinary environment.Strong background in modern pastry techniques, artisanal baking, and plated desserts.Exceptional creativity with a refined aesthetic and attention to detail.Strong leadership, training, and team‑management capabilities.In‑depth knowledge of pastry techniques, baking science, and dessert innovation.Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and supplier coordination.Willing to relocate in Doha, Qatar.#J-18808-Ljbffr
