The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a range of heavy equipment to complete tasks such as digging ditches, trenches, or foundations; transporting materials; mixing concrete; and removing debris. This role requires excellent knowledge of safety procedures and experience operating excavators. We are open to considering applicants with no prior experience, but must demonstrate a willingness to learn.Responsibilities include:• Operate excavators to dig trenches, ditches, or holes for foundations, drains, or utilities• Transport materials such as soil, rock, gravel or other materials using the excavator• Level earth for the construction of roads or buildings by grading with the excavator bucket or blade• Mix concrete as required using the excavator mixer attachment• Follow safety protocols when operating machinery and ensure all safety regulations are adhered to at all times• Maintain excavation equipment in good working order; perform regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot any issues that arise• Document daily activities accurately in a logbook• Collaborate closely with other team members and supervisors onsite• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all timesRequirements:• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required• Previous experience operating an excavator is preferred but not required• Knowledge of excavation safety regulations is preferred but not required• Ability to read blueprints or schematics is preferred but not required• Attention to detail and a commitment to safetyThis job has no reviews yet.
