The Technician ensures that vehicles are serviced efficiently, safely, and to the satisfaction of customers.AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIESVehicle Diagnosis and RepairPerform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and diagnostics on various vehicle systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, etc.).Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and carry out necessary repairs.Maintenance TasksConduct scheduled maintenance checks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.Inspect vehicle systems and components to ensure reliability and performance.Work Order ExecutionReview job cards and follow service instructions provided by the service advisor or workshop supervisor.Complete assigned tasks within time and quality guidelines.Tool and Equipment HandlingUse hand tools, power tools, lifts, and diagnostic machines safely and correctly.Maintain tools and ensure they are clean and functional.Safety and ComplianceAdhere to workshop safety standards and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Ensure work practices comply with manufacturer and local regulations.Record Keeping and DocumentationRecord parts used, work performed, and time spent on job cards or digital systems.Report additional faults or recommended services to supervisors.Team CollaborationWork closely with other technicians, service advisors, and parts personnel.Attend technical training and stay updated on vehicle technologies.Customer SatisfactionEnsure high‑quality work is delivered to prevent repeat repairs and enhance customer trust.Occasionally assist in explaining repairs or maintenance done, if required.To be a successful EV & Mechanical Technician, you should have strong technical expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both electric and conventional vehicles.
