Wastewater Treatment Plant OperatorJob descriptionResponsibilitiesOperate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair wastewater treatment plant facilities and equipment.Perform procedure and maintenance on plant equipment such as pumps, blowers, MBR, pretreatment devices, scrubbers, sludge dewatering devices, and related systems.Conduct periodic assessments to access/monitor, adjust and maintain plant equipment to achieve desired process control objectives.Prepare and submit daily activity reports and monthly reports (flow, chemicals, consumables, spares) and document preventive or malfunction-related maintenance activities.Acquaint with upkeep and troubleshooting of all instrumentation; collect, verify and complete examinations on various specifications for sewer treatment.Record any problems with clear details for records; communicate with on-site management and haulage needs.Maintain and clean tools, storage tanks and work areas; ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.Operate within safety guidelines and environmental legislation related to plant procedures and maintenance.QualificationsStrong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and related equipment.Experience with control boards, process automation SCADA and PLC systems.Repair capabilities for refining tools and equipment; ability to operate in confined or restricted spaces.Ability to assess situations and take appropriate action when process problems occur; safe handling of chemicals/consumables.Ability to work in shifts and prepare task records; manage the entire site.Diploma in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Industrial/ Environmental or comparable field.Minimum 2-3 years of experience in operation and maintenance of sewer treatment plants.Job DetailsJob Type: Full Time, PermanentCapability to commute/relocate: Sharjah (accurately commute or plan to relocate before starting work preferred).#J-18808-Ljbffr
