Environment Specialist (Saudi Arabia)

A leading Talent Acquisition Company in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced Environment Specialist to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring that our environmental initiatives meet the regulatory requirements and align with our sustainability goals. You will work collaboratively with various departments to promote green practices and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure operational and construction compliance with environmental procedures, and KAUST ISO14001:2015 requirements.Maintain an up-to-date environmental compliance obligations register, identifying compliance obligation gaps, and regularly updating the compliance obligation register.Lead all aspects of uptake and communication of environmental - HSE information Management System to HSE customers.Conduct environmental monitoring, inspections and audits, and environmental review of Land Use Permits applications.Participate in environmental risk assessment.Lead tracking and reporting of contractor performance, for example environmental incidents, actions, waste generation, air emissions, risk register reviews, environmental KPIs, and training.Participate in community environmental outreach activities, as well as engaging students and researchers.Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned.Saudi Arabian environmental regulatory experience, e.g., worked in environmental regulatory agency, consultancy background or a regulated entity.Proficiency in reading and interpretation of Saudi laws and regulations.Experience in maintaining ISO14001 management systems.Highly self-motivated with experience in conducting high-quality inspections and audits of operational facilities.Ability to project manage and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner and to a high standard.Able to communicate and work effectively in a culturally diverse work environment.RequirementsBachelor's degree in environmental science or related field.At least five years of work experience in HSE management systems, with emphasis on conducting inspections and audits.Experience in implementation and administration of an ISO14001 system.Proficient understanding of environmental laws, regulations, and sustainability practices.Experience in applying and interpreting technical environmental procedures in highly regulated organizations is preferred.Experience in conducting environmental assessments and audits.Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.BenefitsSalary is not a constraint; the company is looking for the right candidate.#J-18808-Ljbffr
