The candidate should have strong expertise in industry-leading backup platforms and a good understanding of cloud infrastructure. Experience in the banking or financial services domain will be considered an advantage. This position is for a banking client in Abu Dhabi, UAE.Key Experience & RequirementsSenior Backup & Recovery Engineer with 8+ years of experience.Strong experience in enterprise backup platform expertise—Must.Strong experience in Commvault—MUST.Strong experience in Veritas NetBackup—The MUST.Strong experience in IBM Spectrum Protect—Preferred.Strong experience in Cloud Backup & Hybrid Infrastructure—AWS/Azure—MUST.Strong experience on Disaster Recovery, Storage & Data Protection Architecture—MUST.Strong Experience in Banking Domain—Preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and manage enterprise backup and recovery strategies.Administer and support backup platforms including Commvault, NetBackup, and IBM Spectrum Protect.Perform backup monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.Ensure data protection, availability, and recoverability in accordance with organizational policies.Conduct backup validation, restore testing, and disaster recovery exercises.Integrate backup solutions with cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments.Automate backup operations and reporting where applicable.Maintain documentation for backup architecture, procedures, and recovery processes.Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure compliance and resilience.Support incident management and root cause analysis for backup failures.Required SkillsMinimum 8+ years of experience in enterprise backup and recovery administration.Strong hands-on experience with:CommvaultNetBackupIBM Spectrum ProtectGood understanding of backup architecture, data lifecycle management, and disaster recovery concepts.Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP) and cloud-based backup solutions.Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Object Storage).Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.Experience in scripting or automation (PowerShell / Shell) is a plus.Skills: backup and recovery, spectrum, netbackup, enterprise#J-18808-Ljbffr
