Job Title: Engineering Support Engineer(for LV & MV Switchgear Projects)Contract Type: 12 Months (Extendable)Working Schedule: 6 Days per Week | 10 Hours per DayReporting To: Engineering Manager / Project ManagerWork Location: Ras Laffan / DohaRole PurposeThe Engineering Support professional will provide technical and documentation support for Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear projects. The role focuses on preparation, review, and coordination of electrical schematics and related engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and customer requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering DocumentationPrepare, review, and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interconnection drawings for LV and MV switchgear.Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of engineering documents with IEC standards and project specifications.Maintain proper document control, version management, and revision tracking.Technical SupportProvide technical support to Project Managers for resolving design- and engineering-related queries.Coordinate with internal design teams, manufacturing facilities, and external suppliers for technical clarifications and approvals.Compliance & StandardsEnsure all engineering deliverables comply with relevant standards (IEC, IEEE, and applicable local regulations).Support internal quality checks, audits, and compliance reviews related to engineering documentation.Project CoordinationWork closely with Sales, Project Management, Procurement, and Engineering teams to ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.Track engineering progress and report status, risks, and deviations to relevant stakeholders.Tools & SystemsUse engineering software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or equivalent tools for schematic preparation and review.Maintain documentation in PLM or similar document management systems.Qualifications & ExperienceEducationBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.Experience2 to 5 years of experience in LV/MV switchgear engineering or a related field.Proven hands-on experience in electrical schematic design and engineering documentation.Technical SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar electrical design tools.Strong knowledge of IEC standards related to LV/MV switchgear and protection systems.Understanding of switchgear design, testing, and integration processes.Soft SkillsStrong attention to detail and analytical mindset.Effective communication and coordination skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Siemens NXAIR or similar MV switchgear systems.Experience in project execution within the Oil & Gas, Power, or Energy sectors.#J-18808-Ljbffr
