Job Description

Engineering Lead (Civil Marine) Location: Doha, QatarEmployment Type: Contract (36 months) Overview We are looking for an experienced Marine Lead (Civil) to oversee marine engineering activities for large-scale offshore projects. The role involves leading FEED/EPC contractors, providing technical guidance, resolving marine-related issues, and ensuring designs and execution meet project specifications, codes, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Lead marine engineering discipline from FEED to project execution, including planning, supervision, and delivery of all marine-related design activities Provide guidance to FEED and EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely deliverables Oversee engineering surveillance for marine design and monitor discipline schedules and progress Ensure engineering designs comply with project specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements Track and report requests from port authorities related to berth areas and dredging works Provide marine input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement, and quality teams Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and risk management in all marine engineering activities Mentor and support team members, share knowledge across engineering disciplines Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in marine sciences, marine engineering, or civil engineering; alternatively, a diploma in marine/nautical disciplines with STCW II/2, STCW III/2 certification Minimum 8 years' seagoing experience as shipboard engineer or sea officer, including at least 1 year as Chief Engineer or Master Knowledge of oil and gas industry marine operations, international and national maritime regulations, and industry codes and standards Experience in offshore marine units, berth design, seabed dredging, and brownfield engineering Experience with LNG or liquid product berths and marine pile works is preferred Proficiency in marine-related software (e.g., Optimoor) Strong analytical, planning, coordination, and communication skills Ability to mediate, resolve conflicts, and influence stakeholders effectively SHES-focused with high integrity, ethical approach, and proactive mindset
