Engineering Handyman

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman to join our maintenance team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a Handyman you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities are kept in excellent condition.Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needsPerform general repairs and maintenance tasks in areas such as plumbing electrical carpentry and paintingInstall and assemble equipment and fixtures as neededTroubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and effectivelyRespond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situationsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentManage inventory of maintenance supplies and toolsCollaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors when necessaryKeep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performedAdhere to all safety regulations and building codesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance repair or related fieldProficiency in general repair and maintenance skills including carpentry plumbing electrical work and paintingBasic knowledge of HVAC systemsAbility to operate various power tools safely and effectivelyStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent time management and organizational abilitiesPhysical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 poundsFlexibility to work evenings weekends or on-call as neededValid drivers license and clean driving recordRelevant trade certifications are preferredAbility to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plusFamiliarity with local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi is advantageousAdditional InformationYour team and working environment:Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is a unique resort; where exclusivity and luxury define every experience every time.
