Job Description As an engineer focused on developing AI/ML and CVML solutions for manufacturing, manufacturing quality, model selection, and infrastructure development, your role will involve:
- Contributing to the design, deployment, and optimization of AI-driven inspection systems using computer vision, machine learning, and edge-based analytics to ensure product integrity and process efficiency.
- Analyzing production data to identify patterns, predict quality issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Developing and maintaining machine vision algorithms for automated quality checks on production lines.
- Analyzing image and video data to improve defect detection accuracy.
- Implementing AI-based visual inspection systems for real-time defect detection using machine vision and deep learning models.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate intelligent quality solutions into manufacturing processes.
- Supporting the integration of automated inspection systems with MES for seamless data flow.
- Participating in root cause analysis using AI-powered insights to reduce recurring defects.
- Conducting trials and pilot runs for new intelligent inspection solutions.
- Staying updated on emerging AI and computer vision technologies relevant to manufacturing quality solutions.
- Designing and validating inspection protocols using computer vision and image processing.
- Contributing to continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Establishing connections with internal and external stakeholders for best practices and solutions.
- Participating in internal open innovation events with businesses and research groups.
Qualifications:
- Masters / Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering with relevant experience.
- 0-1 years of experience for Masters and 3-5 years for Bachelors in industrial AI/ML, LML, CVML solution implementation for manufacturing engineering problems.
Skills:
- Excellent knowledge and experience in machine learning models and development methods.
- Working experience with demonstrated projects on applying machine learning in manufacturing/engineering processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, LLM, RAG.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Awareness of manufacturing processes and product design processes.
