Electronics Engineer - Hardware Design, Testing&Prototyping

<p>At DERC we are looking for an Electronics Engineer to integrate with the Signals, Acoustics&</p><p>Electronics (SEA) team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and</p><p>testing wide range of electronic circuits used by the team. The candidate will perform activities such as:</p><ul><li>Maintain and expand the component library (including symbol, footprint, supply chain etc.)</li><li>Designing and building the physical hardware, component selection, and testing circuits for performance and reliability.</li><li>Preparing manufacture data package for prototype/production.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both hardware and software related to electronic subsystems.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with advancements in electronic technologies and integrate the latest innovations into system designs.</li><li>Document designs, develop technical specifications, and contribute to the creation of system manuals.</li><li>Results and project reporting.</li><li>Working collaboratively with project team members</li></ul><p><strong><u>Skills required for the job</u></strong></p><ul><li>Strong understanding of analog, power, and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and electronic components selection.</li><li>Proficiency in circuit simulation tools (e.g. SPICE, LTspice) and PCB design software (Altium Designer preferred).</li><li>Experience with SI/PI or PDN simulation tool (Ansys AeDT, Keysight ADS SI/PI pro,</li><li>Experience in ultra-low noise measurement.</li><li>Familiar with DFM tools for manufacturing.</li><li>Familiar with tight integration of electronics in complex mechanical assemblies - ideally basic experience in CAD tools like SolidWorks/Fusion360 to determine PCB outline shapes, defining wiring harnesses/FPCs and verify physical fit of designed modules.</li><li>Hands-on experience of integrating and troubleshoot multi-board electronics</li><li>Hands-on experience in the development of electronics for underwate sensing/communication is a plus.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multicultural research team with effective oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Very good level of English (speaking and writing)</li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p><p>To qualify for this position, you will need to meet the following requirements:</p><ul><li>Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical Engineering, or related fields.</li><li>Communication skills for working in a multidisciplinary team.</li></ul>#J-18808-Ljbffr
