Electro Mechanical Engineer

Position: Electro Mechanical EngineerStantec is a global engineering and consulting firm that provides innovative and sustainable solutions for a variety of industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electro Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electro mechanical systems and components for various projects. This includes conducting research, creating detailed plans, and overseeing the implementation and testing of these systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both electrical and mechanical engineering as well as experience working with a variety of equipment and technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electro mechanical systems and components for various projectsConduct research and analysis to identify the most efficient and effective solutionsCreate detailed plans and specifications for the implementation of these systemsOversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of electro mechanical systemsCollaborate with other engineers and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetTroubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the design, development, or implementation processKeep up-to-date with industry advancements and incorporate new technologies into designs as neededEnsure all projects adhere to safety and regulatory standardsProvide technical support and guidance to other team members as neededPrepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress and results to clients and stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)Minimum of 10 years experience in electro mechanical engineeringStrong knowledge of electrical and mechanical design principles and techniquesFamiliarity with a variety of equipment and technologies such as PLCs, motors, and sensorsExperience with CAD software and other design toolsExcellent problem‑solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentKnowledge of safety and regulatory standardsAt Stantec we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment where all employees can thrive and reach their full potential.
