In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in modern vehicles, including hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs). Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring vehicle safety, performance, and compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with technicians and mechanics to diagnose electrical faults, perform system diagnostics using advanced tools, and implement effective solutions. Your contributions will directly impact vehicle reliability and customer satisfaction, making you a key asset in our workshop’s success.Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair electrical faults in automotive systems, including wiring harnesses, sensors, alternators, starters, and battery systems.Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical components and systems.Utilize diagnostic tools and software (e.g., OBD-II scanners, multimeters, oscilloscopes) to identify electrical issues.Install and service aftermarket electrical accessories such as alarms, GPS systems, and audio equipment.Troubleshoot and repair hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) electrical systems, including high-voltage battery packs and motor controllers (with proper safety certification).Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service history in the workshop management system.Collaborate with mechanics and service advisors to ensure timely and effective resolution of vehicle issues.Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards, especially when working with high-voltage systems.Stay current with evolving automotive electrical technologies, manufacturer updates, and industry best practices.RequirementsRequirements:1–2 years of hands-on experience in automotive electrical systems repair or a related field.Valid certification in automotive electrical systems (e.g., ASE Electrical/Electronic Systems certification preferred).Experience working with hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs) and familiarity with high-voltage safety procedures.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and wiring schematics.Strong understanding of automotive electrical circuits, battery systems, alternators, starters, and control modules.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.High school diploma or equivalent; formal training or vocational certification in automotive technology is a plus.Reliable transportation and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.${Experience_Level} years of experience in a professional automotive workshop setting.#J-18808-Ljbffr
