Electrical Technician - Wind Energy Projects

Job Description Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in wind turbines. Inspect and test electrical components such as generators, transformers, converters, control panels, sensors, and cables. Diagnose electrical faults using tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and diagnostic software. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, switchgear, and substations. Monitor turbine performance through SCADA systems and control panels. Repair or replace electrical components including motors, relays, sensors, and wiring systems. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and grid connection requirements. Support commissioning and energization activities during turbine installation. Work closely with mechanical teams during turbine maintenance operations. Maintain records of inspections, testing results, and repair activities. Requirements Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Technology 3-7 years experience in wind turbine or power plant electrical maintenance Knowledge of Generators, Transformers, SCADA systems, Electrical protection systems and High-voltage equipment Ability to work at heights and follow electrical safety standards
