Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerLocation: DubaiExperience Required: 4 to 5 YearsSalary: Depends on Experience Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join our client s engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems preparing technical documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client specifications. This role requires proficiency in electrical design software project coordination skills and a thorough understanding of power distribution control systems and electrical safety codes.Key Responsibilities:Develop electrical design drawings schematics single-line diagrams and layout plans for projects.Design power distribution systems lighting layouts earthing systems and control wiring.Conduct electrical load calculations and short-circuit analysis.Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) technical specifications and cable sizing reports.Collaborate with mechanical and civil teams to ensure coordinated project delivery.Review client requirements applicable codes (e.g. IEC NEC) and industry standards.Coordinate with vendors and contractors for material selection and design validation.Provide technical support during procurement installation and commissioning phases.Ensure designs comply with safety regulations environmental requirements and energy efficiency standards.Revise and update drawings based on field feedback and redline markups.Essential Qualifications:Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Diploma holders with strong experience may be considered).Additional certifications in AutoCAD Revit MEP or ETAP are preferred.Skills Required:Proficiency in electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical Revit MEP etc.)Strong knowledge of electrical design principles codes (IEC NEC IS) and safety standards.Experience with electrical simulation and analysis tools (e.g. ETAP Dialux E-Plan).Excellent analytical documentation and troubleshooting skills.Effective communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams.Time management and ability to handle multiple design projects.
