Position/RoleElectrical Design EngineerLocationIndustrial Area – QatarEmployment TypeContract StaffingDuration3 Months & ExtendableJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Electrical Design Engineer for a major wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) project in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the detailed electrical engineering design, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. This is a critical, hands‑on role requiring immediate mobilization and a strong background in industrial or water treatment plant electrical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform Detail Engineering for all electrical systems of the IIWWTW project.Design and prepare drawings/schematics for MV/LV Power Distribution Systems, Substation and Switchyard Layouts.Cable Routing, Sizing, and Scheduling.Lighting Systems (Normal & Emergency).Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems.Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and Control Schematics.Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Block Diagrams, and Layouts.Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, and relay coordination studies.Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and material take‑offs (MTOs) for electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, cables, etc.).Coordinate with other disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Civil) to ensure integrated design.Review vendor drawings and offer technical approvals for electrical equipment.Ensure all designs adhere to relevant international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.), Ashghal guidelines, and project‑specific requirements.Provide technical support during procurement and construction phases.Qualifications & Experience EssentialBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Electrical Detail Engineering for large industrial or infrastructure projects.Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit MEP).In‑depth knowledge of international electrical codes and standards.Highly Desirable (Added Advantage): Prior experience in Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), or Water/Wastewater projects.Experience in the Middle East/GCC region, particularly Qatar.Additional RequirementsStrong knowledge of electrical design standards and practices.Ability to work under tight project schedules.Good communication and coordination skills.Email: subhash.chandra@swan.qa#J-18808-Ljbffr
