Major customers include renowned airports and airlines around the globe.Be part of our team as an Electrical Design Engineer in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.What are my responsibilities?Based on mechanical layout and drive list, create single line diagrams, 400v/24v power calculations & dimensioning of system to ensure that rules of voltage drop, short circuit current and selectivity are fulfilled.Analyze the tender by checking the relevance of requirements of Distribution Panels, Sub Main Distribution Boards, Field Distribution Boards to ensure that the panels are designed according to the customer requirements.Carryout power distribution calculations considering all the elements of BHS systems such as motor loads, lighting loads, UPS or any ancillary systems ensuring the designed panels such as MDP/LDP/SMDB/FDB/etc. are meeting the project requirements.Based on the project requirement, create detailed design layouts, wiring diagrams using ePLAN with pre-defined templates complying to the industrial practices and international standards such as EN, BS, DEWA, SASO, etc.Generation of BOQ/BOM and SAP material creation for ordering, documentation and layout submittals from concept design, throughout detail design and final design to stakeholders and active involvement in the approval process before issuing the drawings to the manufacturers and for site installation.Review engineering drawings, analyze design and develop necessary project documentation such as Material submittals, Functional Design Specs, Detailed Design Specs together with Operation and Maintenance, Training manuals related electrical, controls and general project requirement.Create purchase requisitions within SAP, ordering all the required Electrical material considering existing stock for the site Installation as per the approved material submittals.Work closely and coordinate across various departments like Proposals, Mechanical, PLC Commissioning & Software teams, Installation teams, Planning & Procurement teams and logistics teams to ensure the designed system is functional as per the project requirements and meeting the project schedule.Manage and ensure that all project quality procedures applicable for design are followed. This enables all aspects of the project to be achieved towards meeting design needs and ultimate customer satisfaction.Responsible for follow occupational health, safety, security, environment and quality as stipulated in the Project HSSE Plan and project Quality Plan respectively.What do I need to qualify for the role?Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical design and installation practices in the logistics automation domain, specifically in Baggage Handling or Cargo Handling Systems.Hand on experience of ePLAN P8, AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft word, Power point.Prior knowledge of trunking & cable layout design with clear installation practices.Strong knowledge of electrical design and communication protocols such as Profinet / Profibus, use of software tools like SIMARIS, CANECO, etc. along with SIEMENS products would be an added advantage.Effective interpersonal skills, ability to engage internal & external stakeholders, and good to have worked in multicultural environment.PLC knowledge would be an advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
