Job Description
The Section Head – Education Programmes is responsible for developing and leading the organization’s education strategy, creating innovative, inclusive, and engaging learning experiences that connect diverse audiences with art, culture, and ideas. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality educational initiatives that support the organization’s mission, enhance visitor engagement, and contribute to lifelong learning.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the overall education strategy, aligned with the organization’s vision, curatorial direction, and audience engagement goals.Lead the design and delivery of a wide range of educational programmes, including workshops, lectures, school programmes, family activities, and community outreach initiatives.Collaborate closely with Curatorial teams to translate exhibitions and collections into meaningful educational content and interpretive materials.Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, universities, and cultural institutions to expand educational reach and impact.Oversee the development of learning resources, including guides, digital content, and interactive tools tailored to diverse audiences.Ensure accessibility and inclusivity across all programmes, catering to different age groups, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.Lead public engagement initiatives that encourage dialogue, critical thinking, and participation in cultural discourse.Manage and mentor the education team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional development.Oversee programme planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness through data analysis, visitor feedback, and reporting, driving continuous improvement.Manage the education budget and ensure optimal use of resources in line with strategic priorities.Represent the organization in educational forums, conferences, and community platforms, enhancing its reputation as a learning‑focused institution.Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to promote programmes and increase audience participation.Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and best practices in education and public engagement.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art Education, Museum Studies, Art History, Education, or a related field.8–12 years of experience in cultural or educational programming, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.Strong understanding of contemporary educational practices and audience engagement strategies.Experience in developing programmes for diverse audiences, including schools, families, and adult learners.Proven leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.Experience working in multicultural environments; regional experience is an advantage.Education Strategy & Programme DevelopmentAudience Engagement & Public Programming#J-18808-Ljbffr
