Job Description
We are looking to recruit an experienced Energy & Infrastructure Senior Associate into our team in the Middle East, c4-7PQE. Ideally based in Riyadh, can consider UAE.About The RoleYou can expect a great variety of work:Working on all aspects of project delivery, whether that is with sponsors, lenders or procuring authorities. Our projects practice is very broad but the team can point to ongoing work in the following sectors across the region:Conventional and renewable powerDesalination and wastewaterTransportSocial infrastructureDepending on the nature of the chosen candidate’s workload, the candidate will be working directly with partners. Day‑to‑day work will include risk analysis and due diligence, drafting and negotiating concession agreements, EPC, O&M and interface agreements. Project execution is an important aspect of the role, entailing coordination with advisory firms from other disciplines. As most of our projects are related to project financing transactions there is an overlap with our project finance colleagues, allowing the chosen candidate some exposure to work in that practice area.About YouWe will invest in your ongoing training and development to support your professional goals and help you to thrive in your role from day one. Our opportunities are open to all suitably qualified applicants, so to be considered for this role you must meet the following skills and experience:Essential4-7 years PQE at a recognised international law firm, with proven experience gained in the Middle East.Strong experience in project development, energy, infrastructure, utilities, or PPP.Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.Ability to handle first‑pass drafting of agreements with minimal supervision.Strong organisational skills and comfort managing multiple workstreams.Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.PreferredExperience with Middle East infrastructure/energy projects.Familiarity with FIDIC based documentation, project finance structures, and government procurement.Experience interacting with technical and financial advisers.AttributesProactive, solution oriented and commercially minded.Able to work independently and under pressure.Confident engaging with senior stakeholders.Team focused with a collaborative mindset.Regional Experience Is Essential For This Role.What’s in it for you?As a future‑facing firm, we take a bold, dynamic and agile approach to help clients of every size face the future with confidence.
