About the Job: Dredging Project ManagerResponsible for:General ResponsibilitiesDeliver project successfully within objectives and execution schedule.Special ResponsibilitiesOversee and keep track of project performance financially and operationally.Perform budget controls; introduce mitigations when project status deviates from objectives.Translate company policy toward employees, engineers, and third parties.Organize and supervise execution of works described in the contract.Ensure all legal and contractual requirements of the contract are met.Report to Head Office.Provide immediate reporting of accidents or particular events.Be responsible for safety, health of employees and subcontractors, including environmental performance.Execute work in accordance with local environmental prescriptions and regulations.PowersDefend company viewpoints.Set up project structure; delegate tasks and responsibilities to site staff.Study and implement methods to increase production.Project Manager Responsibilities and Accountabilities towards HSEThe head of line management is the PM. The PM leads the Project Management Team and is supported by the Project HSE Representative for HSE matters. All staff with management responsibilities demonstrate commitment to continual improvement of HSE performance.AccountabilityThe ultimate responsibility for occupational health and safety rests with the Project Manager.The PM is responsible for all project activities, including HSE, and will be the main interface with the client for all matters.PM Implementation of HSE PolicySet an example for colleagues by behavior and approach regarding HSE matters.Ensure availability of an effective OHSMS and implement it.Ask HSE Management for advice at corporate and project level.Communicate risks and impacts to all supervisors and workers; ensure safe work daily.Verify tasks performed by qualified and competent personnel.Ensure project activities comply with HSE regulations and requirements.Carry out inspections, report nonconformities, and ensure follow‑up.Ensure employees understand HSE regulations.Apply same instructions to suppliers/sub‑contractors.Investigate accidents, near‑misses, and hazardous situations; take corrective actions.Participate in internal and external audits.Ensure appropriate technical and financial resources support the OHSMS.Propose measures to prevent risks for personnel.< responsibilities towards emergency response in the Emergency Response Plan.Duties & ObjectiveObjective: The project manager’s objective is to organize, manage, monitor and control the project organization, execution and budget to undertake the scope of work and achieve quality, schedule and cost standards laid down in the contract, in the interest of the company.PlanningSet up operational planning (vessel deployment, dredging planning, reclamation planning).Set up project team.Set up operational budget ↔ tender budget.Set up mobilization/demobilization plan.Set up weekly review of financial and operational status and provide forecast.OrganizingMobilization/demobilization.Define site structure, personnel and duties for each team member.Define execution program and provide updates.Maintain cut/fill volume balance and dredging production overviews.Contact with employer, engineer, third parties.Site administration (financial, legal, accountancy, HSE).Report to Head Office.Commercial prospecting for future works.DecidingResolve conflicts due to human relations between site staff and labour.Decide on execution program, difficulties, method changes, etc.Prioritize works of subcontractors, JV partners.Handle all matters directly related to proper execution of works in compliance with contract requirements.Prepare claims with the contracts team.DelegatingAccording to the organization chart of personnel, delegate powers to:Works manager, dredging superintendents, dredging project engineer, surveyor, etc. for daily execution.Administrator or accountant for financial, fiscal, accountancy, legal, contractual matters.Surveyor for positioning of works and follow‑up of measurements.Technical superintendent for planning maintenance and repair of equipment.Local agent for local matters.ExecutingTrack project status financially and operationally.Co‑operate with accountant to establish accountancy, cost control and budget systems.Keep overview of dredging productions, dredger deployment and auxiliary vessels and pipeline deployment to achieve best performance.Identify known and unknown project constraints and risks; define actions to control/transfer/mitigate.Maintain overview of executed and planned work relative to volume balances.Report project status, forecast and plan ahead to Head Office financially and operationally.Ensure all legal and contractual requirements for efficient administration of the contract.Manage the site team.Establish the final project report on performance, production, soil data and other price‑influencing elements and financial impacts.Translate com
