Through our member companies, including SMEC and Robert Bird Group, we deliver high-impact engineering and design solutions across transport, water, energy, and cities.</p><h3>Role Overview</h3><p>We are currently seeking a Draftsman / BIM Modeler (Revit) with a strong background in structural modelling and detailing to support our geotechnical and tunnelling projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.</p><p>This role focuses on developing high-quality BIM models for underground structures, working closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated and accurate design outputs.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop and maintain detailed Revit models (LOD 300–350) for underground and geotechnical structures</li><li>Model complex elements, including segmental tunnel linings, shafts, cross passages, and tunnel connections</li><li>Produce accurate structural detailing drawings and BIM deliverables</li><li>Coordinate with geotechnical, structural, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure model accuracy and clash‑free outputs</li><li>Support BIM execution plans, standards, and workflows across projects</li><li>Utilize Dynamo scripting to automate modelling tasks and improve efficiency</li><li>Assist in model reviews, QA checks, and coordination meetings</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline</li><li>Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in BIM modelling and structural detailing</li><li>Proven experience as a BIM Modeler / Draftsman using Autodesk Revit</li><li>Strong background in structural detailing and modelling</li><li>Experience in tunnelling and underground structures is highly preferred</li><li>Familiarity with the modelling of segmental linings, vertical shafts, cross passages and tunnel interfaces</li><li>Hands‑on experience with Dynamo for automation and scripting</li><li>Good understanding of BIM standards, LOD requirements, and coordination processes</li><li>Ability to work in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment</li></ul><h3>Why Join SJ</h3><p>Join a global, multidisciplinary consultancy shaping sustainable, people‑centric environments across 40+ countries.
