DPS Resident Engineer

Position OverviewOur client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented DPS Resident Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will lead the Data Protection & Back-Up Systems and Optimization. He/she will also take charge of the end to end process of DPS, ensuring the, availability, integrity, and recovery of the data.Key Responsibilities & RoleMonitor and maintain Data Protection & Backup systemsPerform capacity planning, data tiering, and Data Protection & Backup optimization tasks.Assist in data migration, archiving, and retention activities.Ensure data availability, integrity, and backup/recovery processes.Support incident resolution and escalate complex Data Protection & Backup issues to L3.Apply security policies and access controls on file and object data.Document configurations, changes, and standard procedures.Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams ondata-related needs.Mentor support staff, advise on best practices, and drive process improvements.Participate in TARB committee as needed.Qualifications & SkillsBachelors Degree in IT/Software Engineering, or any similar degree is required.Solid experience in Data Management.Background in IT Security is highly desirable.Familiarity in Data Protection & Back-Up Platforms (Ex: Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, Rubrik, Dell, IBM, or any similar platform).Ability to work independently, and alongside a team as needed.Strong English and communication skills.Key attention to detail.#J-18808-Ljbffr
