Downstream Corrosion Engineering SpecialistOur Client - One of the world's largest energy enterprises, fully integrated with divisions incorporating exploration, production through to refining, distribution & shipping, as well as being a global leader in petroleum and chemical production.The professional rewards, but so too are the lifestyle and benefits.Job Description - Our client is currently seeking an experienced Downstream Corrosion Engineering Specialist to join their Consulting Services Department.The successful Engineer will join The Corrosion Technology Unit, providing technical consultations and maintaining standards on issues related to corrosion prediction, including but not limited to: mitigation and monitoring, hydro-testing; water treatment; chemical cleaning; mothballing and equipment preservation; Boiler Condition Assessment (BCA).Responsibilities include:Providing central engineering consultancy focusing on upstream corrosion control, monitoring, and corrosion prediction, supporting operations and field operations for upstream facilities as needed.Reviewing engineering design packages for capital project developments.Designing, developing, and modifying company standards, procedures, and best practices, serving on international standards writing bodies, and publishing technical papers when opportunities arise.Developing new technologies and applying them, including applying for patents when appropriate.Providing training courses and mentoring engineers.Participating proactively in special teams and task forces, such as incident investigations, audit teams, and value engineering teams.The ideal candidate will have:A minimum of a Master's degree in Corrosion, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related sciences.At least 15 years of relevant experience in corrosion management, preferably in field and corporate locations.Experience with corrosion prediction programs, software, and monitoring techniques is beneficial.Active membership in NACE or other international technical committees, with published technical papers.About The CompanyWith operations across five continents, we have the coverage and experience to serve clients worldwide, having successfully delivered candidates to over fifty countries.
