As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead and transform their fleet engineering function across the region.This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape engineering strategy, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in supporting significant regional growth.The OpportunityBased in Saudi Arabia, you will take full ownership of the company’s engineering and fleet strategy across multiple GCC markets. You will be responsible for optimising asset performance, leading large-scale investment programmes, and ensuring best-in‑class maintenance and reliability standards across a diverse fleet.This role offers significant executive exposure, long‑term career progression, and the chance to contribute to major infrastructure and development projects across the Middle East.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Financial LeadershipDefine and deliver the regional engineering strategy aligned with business growth objectivesLead CAPEX planning, fleet investment, and lifecycle optimisation programmesProvide strategic guidance to senior leadership on fleet performance, renewal, and cost efficiencyDrive data‑led decision making through KPI monitoring, utilisation analysis, and cost controlFleet & Asset ManagementOversee fleet operations across multiple GCC locations, ensuring consistency and best practiceManage full asset lifecycle from specification and procurement through to disposalImplement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies to maximise uptimeLeverage telematics and digital systems to enhance visibility and performanceMaintenance & ReliabilityLead all maintenance, inspection, and compliance programmes across the fleetDrive reliability‑centred maintenance and continuous improvement initiativesOptimise parts supply chains, vendor relationships, and maintenance contractsSupport sustainability initiatives including emissions reduction and energy‑efficient technologiesLeadership & Organisational DevelopmentLead and develop a high‑performing, multi‑national engineering teamFoster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvementPartner with Operations and HR on workforce planning and capability developmentBudget & Performance ManagementManage engineering budgets and capital investment across the regionIdentify cost efficiencies through innovation, procurement, and process optimisationReport on operational and financial performance to executive leadershipSafety, Quality & ComplianceChampion a safety‑first culture across all engineering activitiesEnsure full compliance with regional HSE and regulatory standardsLead audits, investigations, and continuous improvement programmesCandidate ProfileMinimum 8 years’ leadership experience within fleet, plant, or equipment engineering (powered access experience essential)Strong technical expertise across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systemsProven track record managing large-scale CAPEX programmes and engineering budgetsExperience with telematics, digital fleet management, and asset optimisation toolsPrior experience in the GCC or emerging markets is advantageous but not essential#J-18808-Ljbffr
