Job SummaryManulife is a leader in the Global HighNetWorth (HNW) life insurance market with capacity to write insurance on residents in over 150 countries. This remains a strategic focus area for our business growth and we will fuel this growth by expanding our presence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) region.To meet our ambitions we are hiring for a Director Global HNW Distribution who will report to the Senior Executive Officer Manulife Middle East Limited (SEO MMEL). This individual will be a key member of the sales and distribution team and should be versed with life insurance products and have an excellent understanding of the HighNetWorth International Life Insurance market and marketing concepts. The candidate should also be a subject matter expert (SME) on Takaful insurance distribution and be able to identify develop and promote Takaful marketing/ sales opportunities and educational material while building strong relationships with our current and new GHNW Distributors.ResponsibilitiesServe as SME for Takaful distributionBuild and execute on Takaful distribution strategyIdentify new distribution channels and partnerships specific to TakafulPosition GHNW Takaful products effectively within the landscape of competitors and overall competitive landscape and run supporting illustrations as requiredMotivate Distributors to sell GHNW Takaful solutions via participation in persuasive virtual and in‑person sales presentations designing marketing initiatives and providing top‑tier responsiveness to Distributor inquiriesWork closely with Distributors to identify market and sales opportunities/business potential for distributor growth as well as address and resolve issues that will cover a wide array of topics and could involve Underwriting Product and other areas within the companyDevelop and implement sales and marketing strategies along with educational materials for and with DistributorsEducate and provide training to Distributors on GHNW Takaful products underwriting and processesConsistently be proactive with key personnel to build, enhance and manage relationshipsWork with new distributors to diversify and expand GHNW sales reach into new Takaful markets (Saudi Arabia/Kuwait etc)Cross‑promote Manulife solutions through GHNW by identifying, implementing and executing sales and marketing initiatives aimed to retain business within the Manulife enterpriseProvide sales support to the Chief Distribution Officer Global HNW DistributionDevelop and maintain strong relationships with GHNW distribution teams as well as internal personnel who support the GHNW Life businessWork closely with all internal departments (Product Marketing Underwriting Legal Case Management Titles Service Compliance) to further drive sales and marketing initiatives while also observing ways GHNW can advance and improve operational processes and proceduresBe a key reliable and trusted resource as well as Manulife brand ambassador to all contracted Distributors including their sales support staff, sales consultants and senior managementRequirementsFull time residency in DubaiArabic speaking is strongly preferredStrong integrity, honesty and ethics10 years experience in Financial Services IndustryTakaful life insurance experience is a mustCollege degree: BA/BSWilling to work significantly flexible hours due to Distributors located in various time zones worldwideWilling to travel (foreign/domestic travel required up to 3X per year or more)Advanced Life insurance knowledge and case design/illustration techniquesSales expertise: the ability to identify sales opportunitiesAbility to build and maintain external relationshipsAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentStrong creative presentation/written listening communication skillsStrong software technical skills (Webinars full Microsoft Office Suite of products etc.)Persuasion skills / Ability to influenceAbility to work well with internal personnel in various locationsWhen you join our teamWell empower you to learn and grow the career you want.Well recognize and support you in a flexible environment where wellbeing and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our global team well support you in shaping the future you want to see.About Manulife and John HancockManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
