Job Description
<p>The Head of Cataloging will own the end-to-end product catalog strategy, operations, and quality for the marketplace across all brands, categories, and sellers. This role is responsible for building a best-in-class catalog infrastructure that ensures high-quality product content, accurate product data, and scalable catalog operations to support marketplace growth. The role is critical in enabling product discoverability, conversion optimization, merchandising efficiency, and operational scalability across a large and growing assortment.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Build and maintain a scalable product taxonomy structure across fashion and lifestyle categories including Apparel, Footwear, Accessories, Baby products, Beauty, Home&lifestyle</li><li>Establish catalog governance frameworks including like product classification standards, attribute definitions, naming conventions, content standards</li><li>Ensure catalog consistency and data integrity across brands, categories, and sellers.</li><li>Continuously improve catalog frameworks to support better discovery, filtering, and search performance.</li><li>Own the complete catalog lifecycle for all private brands from product creation to live listing. Create master product records for all private label SKUs, define product hierarchy, category mapping, and attribute structures, ensure correct style, color, size, and variant mapping.</li><li>Partner with studio, creative, and styling teams to ensure Image quality, Brand consistency and Marketplace merchandising standards.</li><li>Ensure products are fully cataloged and live ahead of launch events, campaigns, and seasonal drops.</li><li>Lead catalog operations for all marketplace brands and sellers. Manage the catalog creation, enrichment, and validation pipeline. Ensure rapid onboarding of new brands and sellers and implement processes to manage high SKU volumes with high quality standards.</li><li>Establish strong mechanisms to ensure catalog SLAs for New product creation, Product updates and Error correction</li><li>Own the product data quality framework across the marketplace on Product attributes, Size charts, Fabric composition, Product specifications, Variant structures and Brand metadata</li><li>Drive improvements in Attribute completeness and Data consistency to optimize Search relevance, Filtering, Recommendations and Customer decision making.</li><li>Defining image quality standards by ensuring compliance with marketplace visual guidelines and own the complete process for Image uploads, Image validation and Background standards</li><li>Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to build scalable catalog infrastructure and to reduce manual cataloging effort while increasing speed and quality. The improvements to be driven across Product Information Management (PIM) systems, Catalog Management Systems, Automated attribute tagging, AI-driven catalog enrichment and Bulk product uploads and validation tools</li><li>Work closely with multiple teams across the organization like Category teams on product launches and assortment planning, Seller onboarding teams on brand catalog onboarding and Operations&Supply teams on SKU activation and inventory linkage</li><li>Build and lead a high-performing catalog operations team by defining clear workflows, SOPs, and productivity benchmarks.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>10+ years experience in e-commerce catalog management, product data management, or marketplace operations.</li><li>Strong experience in fashion or lifestyle e-commerce platforms.</li><li>Proven experience managing large SKU catalogs across multiple brands and categories.</li><li>Experience working with private label product cataloging processes.</li><li>Familiarity with PIM systems, catalog automation, and product data platforms.</li></ul><p>Preferred Experience</p><ul><li>Experience in marketplace businesses with third-party sellers.</li><li>Experience in GCC or Middle East e-commerce markets.</li><li>Experience supporting private brand launches and seasonal fashion collections.</li><li>Exposure to AI-driven catalog automation tools.</li></ul>#J-18808-Ljbffr
