Start Date: ImmediateScope: Whole SchoolReporting to: Director of TechnologyOverviewThe Digital Infrastructure Specialist ensures the reliability, security, and innovation of ISL Qatar’s digital platforms, cloud infrastructure, and data integration systems. This role leverages automation and AI tools to streamline operations, enhance troubleshooting, and maintain comprehensive documentation, supporting the school’s digital transformation.Required Qualification and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fieldEssentialExcellent communication skills to support students, staff and parents in a multicultural environment.Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or similar).Device management expertise (Intune, Meraki, or other MDM platforms).PowerShell Scripting ability.Experience with API management, configuration, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or similar data integration tools.Experience collaborating with contractors and managing outsourced IT services.Strong troubleshooting skills and systematic problem-solving approach.Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.Proven ability to implement and manage cyber security measures, including firewalls, encryption, and multi-factor authentication.Experience monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, with a strong understanding of data privacy and compliance standards.Proven ability to create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation.(Preferred) Experience in the educational sector and understanding of school workflows.Technical KnowledgeMicrosoft Azure Active Directory (user management, group policies, conditional access).Microsoft Intune (device configuration, compliance, app deployment).Microsoft 365 (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint).PowerShell scripting and automation.API management platforms and RESTful API concepts.Azure Data Factory (data pipelines, integration runtime, monitoring).Educational technology platforms (ClassLink, iSAMS, or similar SSO/roster systems).Multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup and troubleshooting.Basic networking and WiFi connectivity.Microsoft Graph API (for advanced automation).Key ResponsibilitiesUser and Account ManagementReset passwords and resolve login issues.Create, configure, and remove user accounts for staff and students.Manage bulk student account provisioning at the start of each academic year.Set up and support multi-factor authentication (MFA).Control system access based on user rolesDevice and Hardware SupportTroubleshoot network, internet, and device connectivity issues.Support and manage over 200 iPads, including inventory and assignment.Configure devices, deploy apps, and enforce compliance policies.Maintain staff laptops management and enrolment.Support the students BYOD programme.Oversee device replacement and recycling.Managing purchasing and payment methods for platforms such as Apple VPP and Play StoreEducational Software SystemsMaintain ClassLink and ensure correct syncing of rosters.Add, Manage and Remove SSO and Rostering of all applications used across the schoolTroubleshoot access and integration issues with educational applications (e.g., Renaissance Learning, McGraw Hill, IXL, Kognity, MAP).Manage annual updates and configuration changes for new school year data.Set access permissions for different grade levels and subjects.Systems and InfrastructureManage Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, file storage), and Intune, including troubleshooting, policy management and configuration.Administer the ticketing system.Oversee network connectivity and Wi-Fi access.Troubleshoot cloud service access issues.API Management and Data IntegrationConfigure, maintain, and monitor APIs connecting internal and external systems to ensure secure and reliable data exchange.Manage API authentication, permissions, and documentation.Oversee the integration and automation of data flows between platforms using Azure Data Factory and similar tools.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API connectivity and data pipelines.Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to implement new integrations and maintain existing ones.Cyber SecurityImplementing and maintaining robust security measures (such as firewalls, encryption, and multi-factor authentication) to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.Monitoring for vulnerabilities and suspicious activity and responding promptly to security incidents.Conducting regular risk assessments, security audits, and compliance checks.Keeping up to date with the latest cyber threats and best practices and proactively recommending improvements.Support the Innovation Coaches to educate staff and students on cyber security awareness and safe digital practices.Ensuring all digital processes and third-party integrations comply with data protection and privacy regulations.Contractor Co
