Job Description

OverviewWe are looking for a proactive and experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end users, manage Microsoft 365 environments, and assist with basic network and firewall operations including Fortinet and Sophos devices.This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to support users in a professional corporate environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, including Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications.Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end users.Manage user accounts, mailboxes, and license allocation in Microsoft 365 / Office 365 Admin Center.Configure, migrate, and troubleshoot Outlook, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.Support and escalate issues related to network connectivity, VPN access, and endpoint protection.Perform routine checks and assist with basic configuration of Fortinet and Sophos firewalls under the guidance of senior engineers.Maintain IT asset inventory and update records in the helpdesk system.Document technical solutions and maintain incident logs.Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.Assist in employee onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning and access management.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: AED 2,800 – AED 3,000 per monthEmployment Visa ProvidedMedical InsuranceAnnual Air Ticket after completing 12 monthsDirect company roleSkillsRequired Skills & QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.2–4 years of desktop or IT support experience in a corporate or MSP environment.Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune basics).Basic experience with Fortinet and Sophos network/firewall devices (VPN, basic rules, and monitoring).Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows security configuration.Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory)Microsoft 365 — Modern Desktop Administrator AssociateFortinet — NSE1 / NSE2 or Sophos Certified EngineerCompTIA — A+ / Network+#J-18808-Ljbffr
