Design Manager

Responsible for managing and coordinating all interior design and technical design activities for fit-out projects, ensuring that designs are aligned with client requirements, construction methodology, budget, program, and local authority regulations. The role acts as the central coordination point between clients, consultants, internal design teams, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure seamless design-to-construction delivery.Role DescriptionManage the full interior fit-out design lifecycle from concept development to IFC drawings and as-built documentationCoordinate interior architecture, finishes, FF&E, joinery, MEP interfaces, and specialist packagesEnsure design solutions are buildable, cost-effective, and aligned with site constraintsAct as the primary design interface with clients, consultants, and PMCsAttend and lead client meetings, design presentations, and coordination workshopsManage client comments, approvals, and change requests throughout the design processCoordinate closely with site teams, procurement, and commercial departmentsDevelop and manage design programs aligned with construction schedulesParticipate in value engineering and cost optimization exercisesControl and manage design changes to minimize variations and delaysReview shop drawings, material submittals, and method statementsResolve design-related site issues, RFIs, and clashes in coordination with site teamsEnsure design intent is fully maintained during executionEnsure all design deliverables meet company QA/QC standardsCandidate RequirementsBachelor's degree in interior design, Architecture, or Engineering with UPDA Certification (Grade A) preferredProfessional certifications are an advantage8-10 years of experience in interior design and fit-out projectsMinimum 4-5 years in a Leadership roleStrong experience with fit-out projects in GCCPrior experience working with interior fit-out contractors is essentialStrong understanding of interior fit-out construction methods, materials, and detailingStrong coordination skills across joinery, finishes, MEP interfaces, and FF&EStrong leadership and coordination skillsClient-focused with excellent communication abilitiesDetail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving approachAbility to work under tight deadlines and fast-track projectsExcellent English communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multinational market environmentInterested can apply and the relevant profiles will be contacted.
