Data Protection & Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Protection & Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure the organizations data privacy and cybersecurity frameworks are robust compliant with regulations and effectively mitigate risks. You will work closely with IT legal and compliance teams to protect sensitive information and prevent cyber threats. Key Responsibilities: Develop implement and maintain data protection policies procedures and controls in line with local and international regulations (e.g. GDPR UAE Data Protection Law). Monitor and manage data privacy compliance across the organization. Conduct risk assessments data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and security audits. Manage cybersecurity operations including threat detection incident response and vulnerability management. Implement and maintain security tools such as firewalls encryption access controls and intrusion detection systems. Investigate and respond to data breaches or cybersecurity incidents promptly. Provide training and awareness programs on data protection and cybersecurity best practices. Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely reporting of data incidents. Collaborate with IT teams to secure networks applications and infrastructure. Keep up to date with evolving data protection laws cybersecurity threats and industry best practices. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security Law or related field. Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E CIPM CISSP CISM or equivalent. 3 years of experience in data protection privacy compliance and cybersecurity. Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR UAE PDP Law) and cybersecurity frameworks. Experience with data protection management tools and cybersecurity solutions. Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
