Data analyst

The Data Analyst is responsible to provide technical analytical and reporting support to Section or Department to improve understanding and awareness of business performance and facilitate better decision making.Functional ResponsibilitiesProvide, produce, maintain and continually improve regular management dashboards and reports to support effective decision makingPrepare relevant business data and information using agreed processes, procedures and systemsUse agreed data collection tools for data analysis and management reportingEnsure relevant data sets are complete, accurate and all information is input in time to allow accurate regular reportingReview collated business information to identify trends, anomalies and respond to ad-hoc queries for informationAnalyse and communicate data analysis findings to a range of stakeholders, using a variety of formats and different approachesEnsure data integrity is maintained and information is best used to improve business performance with a wide range of individuals, teams, Sections, Departments and AffairsProvide data and reporting solutions to operational and business issuesSuggest root causes to relevant operational/business issues (where experience allows) based on the information analyzedEnsure adherence to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures within the workplace and comply with new work instructionsPerform other duties / tasks as requiredQualification:Bachelor degree in Computer Science; Business Management; Finance Management or equivalentHolder of Accreditation from relevant professional bodies or similar would be an advantageHolder of current/valid Qatar Driving License would be an advantageExperience:Minimum of 6 years experience in a position carrying out analytical reportingKnowledge and experience of information systems, data collection tools and management reporting preferredKnowledge and experience of d TIMS PMS or equivalent system with regard to operation, system administration and training preferredExperience with databases including Access, SQL and OracleKnowledge and experience of asset hierarchy, asset types and related asset attributes, for Roads assets preferredExperience in Microsoft Office Packages and in particular Microsoft Excel 2010 preferredAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in English is essentialAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic is preferred
