Job Description Role Overview: As a Data Analyst II at Booking Holdings, you will be responsible for designing and delivering Data Analytics solutions based on business requirements. You will play a crucial role in developing credit risk models, translating business problems into data stories, and providing insights to drive critical business decisions. Your role will involve analyzing large datasets, preparing risk reports, and conducting impact analysis of credit risk models. Additionally, you will be responsible for automating reporting mechanisms, mentoring junior colleagues, and supporting the creation and operationalization of risk policies. Key Responsibilities: - Own the design and delivery of Data Analytics solutions independently, from idea generation to implementation. - Develop credit risk models using statistical techniques to identify and quantify risk exposures. - Translate business problems into data stories to provide intuitive insights for critical business decisions. - Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and produce meaningful risk reports for stakeholders. - Perform impact analysis of credit risk models and conduct financial analysis across portfolios. - Prepare use case narratives of models for new and existing products based on risk tolerance. - Maintain and monitor credit risk models for data quality and reporting accuracy. - Automate reporting mechanisms using available technologies for tracking risk profiles. - Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure the reliability of the credit risk platform. - Coach and mentor junior colleagues on data analytics best practices. - Support the creation and operationalization of risk policies across the business. - Liaise with key stakeholders to understand business priorities, requirements, and associated risks. - Develop strong business relationships with internal stakeholders across finance, fintech, and other teams. Qualifications & Skills: - 5+ years of relevant experience in a quantitative role, preferably in finance or banking. - Academic degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative field, preferably a Master's degree. - Experience in executing big data analytics projects in an industry setting. - Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, Pyspark, or other statistical programming languages. - Experience in credit risk is advantageous. - Strong problem-solving ability and analytical mindset with attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. - Familiarity with Big data platforms and version control is a plus. - Experience with ETL and Data Modelling tools like Airflow, Dagster, and DBT is advantageous. - Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau is beneficial. - Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
