Job Description As a Data Analyst Assistant Vice President at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing the digital landscape and ensuring unparalleled customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include: - Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification. - Execution of data cleansing and transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis. - Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing. - Development and application of advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve complex business problems. - Documentation of data quality findings and recommendations for improvement. In order to excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Accounting knowledge with experience in reconciliation and sound knowledge of transactions' representation in a bank's financial statements. - Understanding of investment banking and corporate banking products, including accounting/netting logics applied in BFSI. - Technical skills in SQL, Macros, and Python. - Stakeholder management expertise. - Experience in analyzing poor quality data and resolving data issues related to quality, lineage, risk, and controls. Additionally, valuable skills for this role may include knowledge/experience in reviewing accounting entries for complex derivative trade structures, familiarity with Basel IV regulatory requirements/changes, and project management capabilities. As an Assistant Vice President at Barclays, you are expected to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness.
