Job Description As a Crew Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring consistent, accurate, and complete data and management information from crew information systems across the fleet. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with global teams to create business drivers for identifying trends and taking proactive actions to enhance efficiency worldwide. You will be expected to utilize your expertise in crew data analytics to drive business performance effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver accurate monthly reports on cost and core performance metrics as per business agreements. - Manage budgeting for crew-related expenses and Manning Office Expenses. - Analyze data on cost and crew metrics to report on initial trends and support deeper data understanding. - Develop benchmarking reviews and analysis on cost, benefits, and welfare parameters. - Create and provide management dashboarding packs for easily digestible management information. Problem Solving: - Identify areas of improvement using various tools and methods. - Support in solving problems, making recommendations, and applying subject matter knowledge. - Take ownership of solutions and ensure their implementation aligns with expectations. - Support performance discussions by highlighting risks and opportunities. Continuous Improvement: - Engage with stakeholders to enhance reporting usability and identify improvements. - Develop a suite of management reporting for achieving excellence and efficiency in crew management. - Drive automation and digitalization of existing and future reports. - Conduct regular reviews of Management Information to ensure continued relevance. Stakeholder Engagement: - Present findings to the business and collaborate on specific actions for improved performance. - Assist end users with self-service reporting and dashboarding, facilitating ongoing development and training. - Participate actively in crew system implementation and data opportunities. Additional Details: - Strong knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Applications. - Familiarity with dashboarding approaches and best practices. - Experience with reporting tools like Cognos, Business Objects, Power BI. - Eagerness to learn and adapt to AI-supported analytics. Qualifications Required: - Strong academic record and relevant qualifications in business analytics. - Minimum 5 years of work experience in a shore-based position, preferably in the shipping industry with crew data. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong relationship-building ability. - Proven expertise in analytical skills, strategic thinking, reasoning, and judgment.
