Job Description As an Automotive Cybersecurity Specialist, your role involves evaluating multiple vulnerability sources such as OEM reports and suppliers. You will be responsible for performing initial triage to assess severity, exploitability, and vehicle impact. It is crucial for you to validate the relevance of reported vulnerabilities to vehicle platforms, ECUs, and software components. Your technical analysis skills will be essential in eliminating false positives and duplicates. Collaboration with engineering teams, suppliers, incident response teams, and other developing departments is necessary to find corrective measures. Keeping traceability and documentation across the vulnerability lifecycle is a key part of your responsibilities. Presenting the results in the Car Security Board and drafting lessons learned for continuous product and process improvement are also part of your duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate multiple vulnerability sources (OEM reports, suppliers)
- Perform initial triage to assess severity, exploitability, and vehicle impact
- Validate relevance of reported vulnerabilities to vehicle platforms, ECUs, and software components
- Eliminate false positives and duplicates through technical analysis
- Coordinate with engineering, suppliers, incident response teams, and support the developing departments
- Maintain traceability and documentation across the vulnerability lifecycle
- Present the results in the Car Security Board
- Draft lessons learned to continuously improve products and processes
Qualifications Required:
- Knowledge on Standards & regulations: ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155/R156 & General Data Protection Regulation
- Secure SDLC Process knowledge of event/incident response management
- Understanding of Vehicle Architecture
- Good analytical & resolution skills
