As we continue to grow, we're seeking passionate individuals to join our dynamic team and contribute to our journey of success.Location: KSA - DammamType: Full-time - On SiteJob OverviewThe Customs & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth coordination between logistics operations and customs clearance activities to facilitate timely and compliant movement of shipments. The role focuses on documentation accuracy, customs compliance, shipment tracking, issue resolution, and coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders to minimize delays, penalties, and operational disruptions.Key ResponsibilitiesCustoms Clearance & CoordinationWork closely with the customs clearance team to ensure all shipping and customs documentation is complete, accurate, and processed without issues.Coordinate with customs brokers regarding inbound and outbound shipments.Align logistics schedules with customs clearance timelines to ensure smooth cargo movement.Follow up on customs-related processes to avoid delays in shipment release.Documentation & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all customs regulations, tariff classifications, import/export procedures, and trade laws.Review and maintain shipment documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.Lead customs exemption processes and ensure timely updates of SABER applications.Follow up on required certificates and approvals, including PCOC and TIR certificates.Investigate and resolve issues related to documentation discrepancies, customs inspections, and tariff classifications.Shipment Monitoring & CommunicationMonitor and track shipment status to ensure timely delivery and clearance.Communicate shipment progress, delays, and operational issues to internal teams such as Procurement, Sales, and Production.Coordinate with external stakeholders including customs brokers, freight forwarders, and port authorities to facilitate smooth shipment handling.Address discrepancies, customs rejections, or non-compliance issues and coordinate prompt corrective actions.Handle issues related to demurrage, detention, penalties, or customs delays and work proactively to minimize associated costs.Investigate root causes of customs or logistics bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.Process Improvement & Team CollaborationIdentify inefficiencies in customs and logistics operations and propose practical improvement initiatives.Foster strong working relationships between the logistics and customs clearance teams.Support the development and implementation of best practices in import/export and customs operations.Provide guidance and training to relevant teams on customs compliance, import/export procedures, and documentation standards.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Additional certification in Customs Compliance, International Trade, or Logistics is an advantage.ExperienceMinimum 3–5 years of experience in customs clearance, logistics coordination, or import/export operations.Strong exposure to customs regulations, shipping documentation, and trade compliance.Experience dealing with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and port operations is preferred.Familiarity with SABER, PCOC, and TIR certificate processes is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and import/export documentationGood understanding of tariff classifications and customs compliance requirementsStrong coordination and follow-up skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesAbility to handle multiple shipments and priorities simultaneouslyProblem-solving and issue-resolution skillsGood analytical and process improvement mindsetProficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and shipment tracking systems.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Customs clearance lead timePercentage of shipments cleared on timeReduction in demurrage, detention, and customs penaltiesAccuracy and compliance of customs documentationTimely completion of SABER, PCOC, and TIR requir
