About HypersignalsHypersignals is building a perpetual trading platform focused on execution transparency and reliability.The product is social and signal-driven with live positions and real-time trade replication. The technical challenge is building systems that remain fast and correct under load and during market volatility.Were early-stage and technical by default. Theres no legacy stack no bloated roadmap and no separation between product and engineering. The goal is to build a small highly capable team that can ship and operate serious trading infrastructure from first principles.The RoleWere hiring a Founding CTO to take full ownership of Hypersignals technical foundation.Youll be the first senior technical hire and responsible for how the system is designed built and run in production. This is not a management-only role youll be writing critical code reviewing every major system decision and setting the standard for how engineering operates.Youll work directly with the founder day-to-day. Decisions are fast scope is real and priorities will change as we learn. The expectation is that youre comfortable operating with ambiguity making trade-offs and taking responsibility when things break.If youve built or operated trading systems before and want end-to-end ownership rather than a narrow slice this role is designed for that.What Youll Be DoingYoull define and own the end-to-end technical roadmap for Hypersignals.This includes:Translating product vision into system architecture technical milestones and execution plansArchitecting and building real-time low-latency trading infrastructure including:Order routing and executionRisk checks and safeguardsTrade mirroring and execution guaranteesDesigning and evolving core platform systems for:Live positions and PnL trackingReal-time feeds and event-driven workflowsOwning production infrastructure and reliability:Cloud architecture and deploymentCI/CD monitoring and incident responseMaking high-stakes trade-offs around performance correctness and user safety particularly during periods of extreme market volatilityPartnering directly with the founder on:Product prioritisation and sequencingBuild vs buy decisionsLong-term technical betsBuilding and leading the engineering organisation including:Hiring early engineersMentoring and coachingDefining engineering culture standards and ways of workingWhat Were Looking For:7 years of backend engineering experienceDirect experience building trading exchange or financial systemsStrong understanding of:Order books matching engines and execution flowsRisk management and margin systemsLatency-sensitive architecturesExperience running real-time production systemsSolid DevOps background:AWS or GCPDocker and KubernetesCI/CD and monitoringWhat We OfferFlexible working hours autonomy over how you structure your time25 days annual leave plus public holidaysCompetitive salary with regular performance reviewsToken allocation as part of the overall compensation packageLong-term growth early ownership in a new product with room to scale responsibilitySmall technical team working at the intersection of Web3 AI and DeFiTeam offsites and informal socials including retreats and virtual sessionsRequired Experience:Chief Employment Type : Full-Time Department / Functional Area: Engineering Experience: years Vacancy: 1
