CTO (Chief Technology Officer)

FlatGigs is hiring on behalf of a leading travel and retail group in Dubai that is embarking on a bold journey to reimagine and digitize their operations, customer experiences, and internal ecosystems. We are looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead this transformation.As CTO, you will play a pivotal role in setting the digital strategy, building scalable platforms, and creating seamless tech-enabled experiences across both B2C and B2B verticals. You will be the technology anchor of the leadership team, owning everything from system modernization to product innovation.What You’ll OwnDefine and drive a 3–5 year digital transformation roadmap across retail, travel services, e-commerce, and internal ops.Champion cloud-first, mobile-first, and data-driven architectures that align with business growth.Platform & Product DevelopmentOversee development of e-commerce platforms, travel booking systems, CRM tools, and inventory / ERP integrations.Enable omnichannel customer journeys that unify online, offline, and on-trip touchpoints.Build and lead cross-functional tech teams including engineering, DevOps, data, and product.Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.Process & Systems DigitizationModernize legacy systems to integrated digital platforms (POS, finance, logistics, HR).Implement robust analytics tools for demand forecasting, customer insights, and inventory optimization.Cybersecurity & ComplianceEstablish strong security protocols and ensure systems comply with UAE data privacy and regulatory requirements.What You BringP rogressive tech leadership.Proven experience in leading digital transformation in retail, travel, or hospitality domains.Hands-on understanding of modern tech stacks, e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, etc.), cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure), and ERP systems.Strong track record of building and scaling consumer-facing digital products and platforms.Experience working with cross-functional leadership (Sales, Marketing, Ops) and external tech vendors.Strong people leader with the ability to scale and mentor technical teams in high-growth environments.Nice-to-HavesBackground in both startup and enterprise environments.Understanding of data privacy laws, PCI DSS, and secure payment gateway integrations.Why JoinLead the end-to-end digital reinvention of a well-established brand.Drive tech innovation in a high-impact, customer-focused sector.Collaborate with a forward-thinking leadership team that values technology as a core business enabler.Be backed by FlatGigs through every stage — from onboarding top talent to delivering long-term tech excellence.About FlatGigsFlatGigs is a recruitment partner and talent solutions firm built for startups and scale-ups across MENA.
