<div><p>The American University in the Emirates (AUE) invites highly qualified candidates to apply for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Full Professor in Security and Strategic Studies.</p><h3>Academic Semester:</h3><p>Fall 2026–2027</p><h3>Specializations</h3><ul><li>International Relations</li><li>International Security</li><li>Political Science</li></ul><h3>Instruction Language:</h3><p>English</p><h3>Teaching Load:</h3><p>24 credit hours per academic year</p><h3>Job Purpose</h3><p>The faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, assessing student performance, providing academic advising, engaging in scholarly research, participating in administrative and committee work, and contributing to professional and community service in alignment with the mission of the University.</p><h3>Qualifications&Education</h3><ul><li>Ph.D. in<b>Security Studies</b>or a closely related discipline from a<b>US, UK, Canada, New Zealand–accredited university</b>, or an institution recognized by an American accreditation body</li><li>Minimum of<b>three (3) years of relevant industry or field experience</b>in security, intelligence, defense, or strategic studies</li><li>Strong record of<b>peer-reviewed publications in Scopus-indexed journals</b></li><li>Demonstrated experience supervising<b>Master’s and Ph.D. theses</b></li><li>Prior experience teaching at the<b>Ph.D. level</b></li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>Minimum of<b>two (2) years of teaching and/or professional experience</b>at an internationally accredited university</li><li>Proven excellence in teaching at both<b>undergraduate and graduate levels</b></li><li>Previous<b>higher education or teaching experience in an accredited university in the United States of America</b>is required</li></ul><h3>Skills, Training&Knowledge</h3><ul><li>Curriculum development and academic program review</li><li>Record of professional and scholarly achievement, including peer-reviewed publications</li><li>Active and ongoing research agenda with interest in interdisciplinary and faculty collaboration</li><li>Ability to integrate<b>web-based and digital technologies</b>into teaching</li><li>Willingness to contribute to<b>University, college, and community service</b></li><li>Excellent<b>English proficiency and communication skills</b></li></ul><h3>Job Description</h3><h3>1.
