We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Control Engineer to assist the Senior Cost Controller in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting project costs across multiple company projects.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Assist Senior Cost Controller in all day-to-day costing functions and ensure smooth functioning of the Cost Control Department.</li><li>Monitor and analyze all job-related costs for assigned projects.</li><li>Prepare Cost to Complete (CTC) reports for Work In Progress (WIP) jobs for profit recognition and monthly closing purposes.</li><li>Interface with Project, Production, and Commercial teams to develop forecasts and analyze project profit/loss.</li><li>Prepare cost reports for invoicing and management review for allocated projects.</li><li>Monitor actual project costs against budget and report variances.</li><li>Review Purchase Orders against budget before issuance to suppliers/subcontractors.</li><li>Prepare summarized cost reports on weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis.</li><li>Monitor project costs booked in SAP and liaise with Finance for cost-related queries.</li><li>Examine unusual cost records and ensure correct allocation of cost data.</li><li>Maintain Variation Register for assigned projects.</li><li>Manage documentation related to Cost Control activities.</li><li>Understand project contracts, scopes, and establish Cost Breakdown Structures and budget elements.</li><li>Communicate cost control processes and routines to project teams, ensuring compliance with financial and legal requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with estimators and project teams to ensure alignment on tender budgets.</li><li>Track project progress proactively and compute Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP) for financial closing and profit recognition.</li><li>Produce project reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis for management.</li><li>Reconcile forecasted and actual expenditures and advise management of changes impacting project spending.</li><li>Produce audit reports for internal and external audits.</li><li>Assist in analysis of variance and impact of change orders on schedule and progress.</li><li>Calculate and plan Cost to Complete (CTC) for progressive jobs.</li><li>Ensure all costs are allocated to the correct cost codes and projects.</li><li>Provide feedback to Estimation Department during project execution and closure.</li><li>Prepare supplier provisions for major contracts on a monthly basis.</li><li>Calculate standard rates and DOE periodically for the division.</li><li>Monitor and report utilization of man-hours against budget and identify remaining unsold hours.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications&Experience</h3><ul><li><b>Education:</b>Degree in Commerce or equivalent</li><li><b>Experience:</b>5–10 years of relevant experience in cost control, preferably within oil&gas, marine, or construction projects</li><li><b>Technical Skills:</b><ul><li>Advanced MS Office skills</li><li>Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP</li></ul></li><li><b>Languages:</b>Fluent in English</li><li><b>Competencies:</b><ul><li>Accountability and professional integrity</li><li>Strong communication and leadership skills</li><li>Problem-solving and initiative</li><li>Adaptability and teamwork</li><li>QHSE awareness</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Why Join Us?</h3><ul><li>Be part of a leading marine and engineering organization in the UAE</li><li>Gain exposure to multiple high-value projects in oil&gas and marine sectors</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and career development</li><li>Work in a structured, collaborative, and safety-focused environment</li><li>Contribute to operational excellence and cost efficiency across projects</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
