Job Description
OverviewSeeking an experienced Corrosion Engineer to under the Downstream Reliability Solutions Department (RSD). The Reliability Solutions Department (RSD) provides engineering support to company Global Manufacturing wholly owned and affiliates’ facilities (Refining, NGL Processing, and Petrochemicals). This includes reliability, inspection, corrosion management, static equipment, rotating equipment, electrical equipment, instrumentation and control support. Your primary role as a Corrosion Engineer is to provide technical support to operating facilities, and the deployment of new technologies related to corrosion management. Developing and prioritizing value-adding programs aimed at enhancing the operational performance of Company’s downstream assets.ResponsibilitiesConduct corrosion management assessments & studies, identifying corrosion issues and providing recommendations to mitigate them.Develop and manage the GME strategic value-driven programs roadmap.Deploy technologies related to corrosion management across the Global Manufacturing portfolio.Support corrosion-related failure investigations and publish lessons learned from RCAs to avoid recurrence.Provide consultancy to Global Manufacturing facilities during design, construction, and operations, and recommend modifications to the operating philosophy and procedures to properly manage corrosion issues.Conduct corrosion mitigation and integrity reviews to optimize inspection and corrosion programs and maintain overall asset integrity.Review design packages and validate materials selection based on applicable codes and standards.Support conduction of risk-based inspection studies (RBIs) based on API-580 methodology.Investigate coating-related failures and recommend sound, cost-effective solutions.Support HAZOP review studies from a corrosion management point of view.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Metallurgy, Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline).15 years of experience in corrosion engineering in refining, NGL, or petrochemical facilities.Strong background in corrosion mechanisms, materials selection, and mitigation methods.Experience in developing and implementing corrosion monitoring and inspection programs.Familiarity with industry standards and codes (NACE, API, ASME, ISO, etc.).Corrosion and Inspection codes API 571, API 580, API 570, and API 510.NACE Specialist certification, NACE Corrosion technologist certification OR combination of NACE corrosion Technologist, API571 and NACE CP level II is preferable.Ability to lead technical studies and provide consultancy support to operating facilities.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Location: Dharan, Saudi Arabia
