Contracts manager

OverviewReporting to the Country Manager, this dual function role will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to capitalise on both their contract and operational management experience within asphalt manufacturing and laying services. A strong background in operations, programming and depth of expertise in contract management is essential to ensure the continued profitability and growth of the business by effectively managing project costs, site activities, contract negotiations, variations and stakeholder relationships. Acute analytical skills, strong commercial acumen, ability to perform in-depth analysis of business operations, report writing and budget formulation will ensure success in this role. Proficient knowledge of all Safety Health & Environment systems will reflect commitment to best practice procedures, culminating in the delivery of superior products and services.ResponsibilitiesManage the contracting process from start to finish including contract drafting, bidding, negotiations and variations.Oversee project costs, site activities, and stakeholder relationships to ensure profitability and growth.Apply lean manufacturing best practices and knowledge of FIDIC contractual law.Qualifications10-15 years of industry related experience within a multinational environment, including at least 5 years at a senior management level.Minimum of 5 years' experience within asphalt laying operations.Tertiary educated from a reputable university.Proven experience in managing the full spectrum of contracting, including contract drafting, bidding, negotiations and variations.Operational experience essential with knowledge of lean manufacturing best practices and FIDIC (contractual law).About The CompanyTalent2 is the first human resources (HR) company in the Asia-Pacific region to offer a complete range of outsourcing services, including executive search and recruitment, Human Resources Information System (HRIS), payroll, consulting and learning.
