Contracts and Commercial Director

Location: GCC (Preference: KSA experience required)Role OverviewElegancia Arabia is seeking a seasoned Contracts & Commercial Director to lead the commercial and contractual functions across large-scale, high-value projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in mega projects within the GCC—particularly Saudi Arabia, and demonstrate strong command over FIDIC frameworks and Middle Eastern legal environments.This role requires a strategic leader capable of safeguarding commercial interests, optimizing contract performance, and managing risk across complex project portfolios.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the contracts and commercial strategy across multiple mega projectsOversee contract administration, claims management, and dispute resolutionEnsure compliance with FIDIC contracts (Red, Yellow, Silver Books, etc.)Provide expert guidance on contractual risk allocation and mitigationManage commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractorsDrive cost control, forecasting, and commercial reportingAdvise senior leadership on legal and commercial implications of project decisionsLiaise with legal teams on regional laws and regulatory requirements (GCC / KSA)Establish and enforce best practices in commercial governanceRequirements15–20+ years of experience in contracts and commercial managementProven track record managing mega projects in the GCC, with strong exposure to Saudi ArabiaIn-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts and their practical applicationStrong understanding of Middle East construction laws and regulationsBackground in an engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, or related)Prior experience working within a holding company or large diversified group is highly preferredDemonstrated leadership in managing large commercial teamsStrong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skillsPreferred ProfileExperience with large-scale infrastructure, EPC, or mixed-use developmentsExposure to multi-entity or group-level commercial oversightAbility to operate at both strategic and operational levels#J-18808-Ljbffr
