This is a long‑term contract role. Please see details below.Title:Construction Lead (Piping/Mechanical)Start Date:ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)Location:Qatar OnshoreWorking Schedule:6 days per week / 10 hours per dayKey Job AccountabilitiesEnsuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during the fabrication process.Managing and ensuring successful execution of mechanical and piping items fabrication project components to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule, and others, as appropriate).Supervising and controlling the activities of the Contractor/Subcontractors related to the mechanical items fabrication, Mechanical Completion, Pre‑commissioning and Commissioning to ensure that it complies with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards.Checking the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance to all technical requirements, of the deliverables provided by the Engineering Team Contractor.Reviewing deviations to client construction standards for comments with Contractors/Subcontractors input, to deliver a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, precom/com dossiers, as built …) for the construction activities.Identifying any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommending corrective actions as required.Reviewing Contractor’s progress reports and reports for all activities, highlighting critical problems, drifts and dysfunctions if any.liaising with Contractors/Subcontractors for all piping & mechanical subject, MC, Pre‑commissioning and Commissioning to ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting.Participating in Risk Assessments kick‑off meetings and Pre‑Job Meetings, technical meetings etc. as required in accordance with Company’s referential.Participating in REX and Lessons Learned for the Company.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering.Knowledge and Key Skills8 years of experience with large projects in construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook‑up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
