Job Description

OverviewSupporting the Compliance executive director in setting the strategic direction for the development and implementation of the compliance control framework across the organization. This role ensures that compliance controls are consistently applied and monitored, while overseeing regular updates to the framework to address new compliance risks and regulatory changes.Managerial AccountabilitiesKey Accountability AreasKey ActivitiesStrategy and PlanningDefine key elements and criteria for the compliance management control framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.Stakeholders’ RelationsProvide consultation to business units and departments on the implementation of compliance controls and monitor their effectiveness.Collaborate with internal teams, including the ERM team, to inform them of key compliance risks and ensure alignment between risk management and compliance strategies.Engage with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed to ensure compliance with external requirements and standards.People ManagementConduct the performance evaluation in alignment with the HR policies & procedures to ensure appropriate and fair evaluation for subordinatesFunctional AccountabilitiesKey Accountability AreasKey ActivitiesCompliance ControlImplement and ensure effectiveness of the compliance management control framework, and that controls align with regulatory and business requirements.Develop and implement controls for specific compliance risk types, outlining key processes and activities to mitigate risks effectively.Regularly review and update control frameworks to ensure they remain relevant to evolving regulations and organizational needs.Compliance MonitoringMonitor the effectiveness of implemented compliance controls through regular assessments and evaluations.Develop and maintain mechanisms to track compliance metrics, ensuring controls are consistently applied across the organization.Prepare reports on monitoring activities, highlighting gaps, areas of improvement, and corrective measures for senior management.Compliance RemediationDrive the compliance remediation program, ensuring identified non-compliance gaps are addressed in a timely manner.Oversee the implementation of corrective actions and track their effectiveness to resolve compliance issues.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure remediation efforts are thorough and meet regulatory expectations.Communications & Working RelationshipsKey Internal InteractionsCompliance Executive DirectorBusiness Unit LeadersERM TeamR&C championsKey External InteractionsExternal AuditorsRegulatory BodiesKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEKNOWLEDGEMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or Finance. Master’s degree preferredProfessional CertificationsNo requirements but relevant certifications are a plusEXPERIENCERequired ExperienceOverall 8 years of experience in compliance management, with a focus on developing and monitoring compliance frameworksStrong understanding of compliance risk types, local and international regulations, and how to implement effective controlsProven experience in leading compliance remediation programs and managing control frameworks across multiple departmentsStrong communication and leadership skills, particularly in consulting with business units on compliance matters#J-18808-Ljbffr
