Job Description

Amazon is seeking a communications professional to join our WW Operations Internal Communications team (OIC).This individual will play a critical role in identifying and rapidly responding internally to emerging topics and issues across international Consumer & Operations businesses (fulfillment centers, sortation centers, delivery stations, air hubs, and more). The candidate will have dealt with complex, high-profile, and fast-moving situations and should be comfortable with rapid response to a wide range of topics, including supporting issues management in partnership with global communications leaders.The successful candidate should possess excellent communications skills, project management experience, exceptional initiative, talent for collaboration, external and internal communications experience, and the capacity to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately.The individual in this role needs to love and have deep experience in reactive communications, thrive on unwinding fast-moving and complex topics, and enjoy creating standard work resources, mechanisms, and structure to scale support across APAC, MEATR, EU, and LATAM regions.Key job responsibilitiesMonitor, assess, elevate, prioritize, and resolve a variety of situations occurring simultaneously with excellent judgementAbility to work across multiple stakeholders to quickly gather details and develop and deliver the needed communicationsDevelop creative, effective approaches to difficult and time‑sensitive communications challenges (including support of issues through the team’s on‑call rotation)Look around corners to spot emerging topics and develop proactive and preventive communication plansOwn creating and maintaining toolkits, playbooks, processes, and messaging databases for global internal communication partnersPay unrelenting attention to detailsBasic QualificationsExperience in professional communications or public relationsSpeak, write, and read fluently in English2+ years of managing stakeholders in cross‑functional project experienceExperience developing successful marketing or communications campaignsExperience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teamsExperience managing complex and fast‑moving issuesBachelor’s degreePreferred QualificationsExperience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilitiesExperience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaroundTeam player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job doneExperience supporting large, complex, or frontline operational organizations is strongly preferredOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
