Whether it’s streamlining operations, enhancing customer experience, or reimagining internal systems — we want people who can make Careem work smarter and move faster.What you’ll doExternal comms & PRDevelop and implement external communications plans for key product and businessannouncements across Careem’s verticals (Careem Pay, Careem Food, Careem Quik, CareemDineOut, Careem Bike, Tenants, Donations, and more).Draft bilingual press releases, media statements, and executive briefings that reflect Careem’stone and strategic objectives.Maintain and strengthen relationships with tier‑one media across print, digital, and broadcastchannels to secure consistent, high‑quality coverage.Build and nurture strong relationships with journalists and editors covering fintech, AI, business,and lifestyle across both English and Arabic titles in the UAE.Identify and leverage emerging digital media channels and new content formats to stay ahead ofthe rapidly evolving media landscape.Proactively pitch stories, interviews, and features that reinforce Careem as the region’s leadingtech platformProvide strategic counsel on crisis communication in coordination with the leadership team andrelevant stakeholders.Collaborate cross‑functionally with Social Media, Marketing, Product, and Government Relationsteams to ensure message consistency across channels.Collaborate with senior leaders and external partners to develop case studies, op‑eds, articles,and whitepapers.Events & executive profilingIdentify and coordinate executive speaking opportunities at leading, impactful industry events,preparing talking points and media briefing documents.Evaluate the quality and relevance of external events and advise on Careem’s participationstrategy to ensure alignment with business objectives.Prepare senior leadership for speaking engagements through tailored briefing documents andprep sessionsEnsure all spokespeople are media‑trained, confident, and aligned with Careem’s narrative andmessaging.Attend events in person to support on‑the‑ground communications, manage media interactions,and post‑event feedback.Identify high‑impact, relevant awards for Careem’s senior leadership and internal teams acrossfunctions, and manage the full nomination process.Agency managementManage Careem’s PR agency, providing strategic direction, evaluating performance, and ensuringproactive delivery of results.Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure the agency delivers creative, insight‑ledcommunications that drive measurable outcomes and a clear ROI.Produce and edit high‑quality content in both English and Arabic for media, blogs, and externalplatforms.Maintain brand consistency across all communications, ensuring adherence to Careem’s externalcomms guidelines.Review and approve all communications and campaigns related to Careem Ads partnerships,ensuring compliance with brand safety, regional sensitivities, and reputational standards.Build and maintain documentation, templates, and trackers to streamline communicationsprocesses and ensure best practices are followed.What you’ll needFluent in Arabic and English, written and spokenStrong written and verbal communication skills7+ years of experience in corporate communications or public relations (agency backgroundpreferred)Thrives in a fast‑paced environment, highly adaptableStrong UAE media relationsDeep understanding of the UAE media landscape and emerging digital storytelling platformsCan easily collaborate with senior leadership and cross‑functionallyExperience managing external agenciesExperience with crisis & reputation managementProficient in using ChatGPT and Google Gemini to enhance content development across commsworkflows.Skilled at building AI‑assisted processes that significantly increase output quality, volume, andturnaround time, improving team productivityWhat we’ll provide youWe offer colleagues the opportunity to drive impact in the region while they learn and grow.
