Commissioning Coordinator (Doha, Qatar)DescriptionOverviewWe are looking to hire a Commissioning Coordinator for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 10‑12 years’ experience in relevant construction and installation activities in projects of oil & gas industry. Experienced in the implementation of construction industry best practices, systems, processes and standards. Fluency in English is a must.Key ResponsibilitiesClient representative on board facilities/contractor marine spread at offshore locations responsible for the project related pre‑commissioning and commissioning activitiesPrepare required work permits as permit applicant and ensures all stipulated client’s e‑PTW system requirements are adhered by contractor personnel for execution of identified workAttend daily meetings with the Asset Holder for planning of works and reporting of progress/constraintsLiaise with HSEQ personnel for the required surveillance of construction/installation/commissioning works to ensure works are being carried out in line with approved HSEQ proceduresCoordinate with the contractor representative for movement of personnel and material for execution of work as per agreed scheduleReview, comment and approve contractor’s pre‑commissioning and commissioning plans/schedules/procedures/JSAsMonitor pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities to ensure works are in line with approved procedures and AFC drawingsInspect the completed work for mechanical completion and identified punch list items to start the pre‑commissioning activitiesCoordinate with construction supervisors for clearance of punch list items and witness required pre‑commissioning and commissioning activitiesProvide daily Progress report of the activities to Head Commissioning and Logistics and Project Team as per identified distribution matrixScheduling and coordinating with Operations Representatives to witness site acceptance tests, loop checks etc as per commissioning planDevelop planning of the commissioning activities and ensure its implementation as per the approved commissioning plan and project scheduleDetail the activities into required systems and subsystems to facilitate commissioning and start upDevelop and arrange for approval of all commissioning handover checklists and certificates and coordinate with Contractor/Vendors to solve system/equipment performance problemsWork closely with project Construction Team, End User and Contractor to coordinate punch listing activities from beginning to end of the commissioning process including clearance and close outCoordinate schedule for vendors’ presence/visits at site(s), on‑job training to assist in the commissioning of critical equipment and processesSupport development activities by ensuring that Nationals receive the proper job training and development to realize the full potential for local talents and maximize contribution to project successSupport client’s in development of new standards, specification, guidelines etc and support enhancement of existing corporate documentsRequirementsHigher National Diploma (HNC), Diploma in Mechanical (or) E&I or B Sc in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University with extensive commissioning experience of Oil & Gas projects. Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution.A minimum of ten to twelve (10 to 12) years’ experience in relevant construction and installation activities in projects of oil & gas industry.
