Cloud Security Engineer (AWS & Azure)A leading financial institution is strengthening its cloud security posture across AWS and Azure platforms to protect critical enterprise data and services. The organization is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to embed security into architecture, operations, and delivery processes and ensure robust, proactive protection across the cloud estate.ResponsibilitiesManage and continuously enhance cloud security posture, including vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation.Perform threat modelling and implement preventative and detective security controls across cloud platforms.Respond to and support investigation of cloud security incidents and escalations in a timely and structured manner.Implement governance controls including policies, RBAC, and least-privilege access configurations.Define and maintain secure cloud architecture patterns and configuration standards for consistent adoption.Partner with cloud engineering and operations teams to embed security into pipelines and delivery workflows.Communicate security risks and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Qualifications and SkillsProven experience in cloud security engineering across AWS and Azure environments.Strong knowledge of identity, access management, governance, and security monitoring.Experience working with cloud-native security tools and security posture management platforms.Ability to act as a security advocate while enabling, not blocking, delivery teams.Sound judgement under pressure during security incidents.High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.Strong communication skills with the ability to present risk clearly to varied audiences.Halian Group: With over 28 years of experience, we have come to understand that innovation is the only way to provide agile, practical solutions that transform businesses and careers.
